Nick Cannon Completes Nipsey Hussle’s Documentary on Honduran Healer Dr. Sebi (Trailer)

*A documentary that Nipsey Hussle was in the process of filming when he was killed on March 31, 2019 has been completed, thanks to a vow from Nick Cannon to ensure that the project sees the light of day.

Cannon was able to finish work on “Strong Enemies: The Untold Case of Dr. Sebi,” a film about controversial Honduran herbalist Dr. Sebi. He famously claimed that herbs and a vegan diet had the ability to cure all diseases, and that he had cured patients with AIDS. Born Alfredo Darrington Bowman, he used the title Dr. Sebi despite never completing any formal medical training. Western doctors considered him a fraud, but he had devotes – many celebrities included – who believed in his techniques and that his herbal-based practiced was too much of a threat to the powers that be. In May 2016, Sebi was arrested in Honduras for money laundering. During several weeks in jail, he contracted pneumonia and died in police custody as he was being transported to a hospital. But conspiracy theorists believe that he was murdered by the medical establishment, and that Hussle’s involvement as executive producer of the documentary may have led to his death as well. Cannon shared pics of Dr. Sebi in a social media post paying tribute to Hussle following his death, saying: “Where you left off, we gonna carry one! It’s a MARATHON, so I’m picking up the baton! Because they can’t kill us all!”

One year after Hussle’s death, Cannon posted the trailer on Instagram with the caption, “As Promised.” Both Cannon and Hussle appear in the documentary, along with Erykah Badu, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Common and other famous faces with insight on the topic.
